Union Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar Handed Over a check of 2675 crore to Uttarakhand Forest and Wildlife Minister Dr. Harak Singh Rawat


Forest and Wildlife, Environment and Solid Waste Prevention, Labor, Employment, Training, AYUSH and AYUSH Education Minister in Uttarakhand’s “Meeting of Forest Ministers” organized by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change at Indira Paryavaran Bhawan, New Delhi. In the said meeting, Uttarakhand Forest Minister Dr. Harak Singh said that as per the expectation of Hon’ble Prime Minister, plastic हदSingle use Plastic½ has been largely banned in the state. Efforts are being made to improve the forest area and promote the forest area. He said that 29 percent of the state’s land is inhabited by agriculture and population. The rest of the area is forest. He said that it is the responsibility of the state government to conserve the forest.
Union Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar, while sanctioning a budget of Rs. 2675 crore under Campa Fund, handed over a cross check to Uttarakhand’s Forest and Wildlife Minister Dr. Harak Singh Rawat. It is known that the Campa Fund is used to increase the forest area of ​​the states, conserve water in the forest area and make the fertile land of the forest area fertile.
He requested the Union Minister that due to Uttarakhand being a hilly and forest state, the state government has the right to transfer one hectare of forest land, which should be increased to 05 hectare so that the development work of the state can go smoothly.
The Union Minister requested that on the basis of FRI’s technical report, like Himachal Pradesh, requested for the forestry permit of mature trees verOver Matured½, which have crossed their age in areas with height of 1000 meters, so that new trees can be planted in their place.
Dr. Rawat requested the Union Minister that the use of such items can be stopped only by banning the making of single use plastic items.
In the said meeting, Union Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Shri Babul Supriyo and Additional Chief Conservator of Forests Dr. Uttarakhand. S.D. Singh and CEO of Uttarakhand Campa D.A. Sameer Sinha was also present.
