UK CM Sasti Dal Scheme: Chana dal will be available on every ration card from September

Under the CM Saasthi Dal Scheme, from September, every ration card will get two kg of gram. The government has fixed the price of pulses. Gram dal will be given at the rate of Rs. 44 per kg. Its retail price is currently around 60 to 65 rupees a kg in the market. Food Secretary Sushil Kumar informed that pulses will be given under the no profit-no loss formula.

At the rate at which pulses will be received from the central government, the cost of milling, cleaning, packaging and transporting to pulses will be added. On this basis, the pulses price will continue to be affected. The government had decided to give pulses at a discounted price in a cabinet meeting on 24 July. According to sources, this price of pulses is for September. In future, prices may go up but subsidy of Rs 15 per kg on pulses will continue permanently.
