State, Uttarakhand, Dehradun, breaking news Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat reviewed the recruitment process of the departments, gave instructions to report every ten days


Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, while deciding the responsibility of the secretaries concerned for recruitment in the departments, said that strict action will be taken against the officials concerned on the laxity in the recruitment process. He said that the progress report of the recruitment process should be made available to the Secretary Personnel every ten days. Secretary personnel compiled the report received from all departments and presented it to the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister was reviewing the ongoing recruitment process in government departments in the Secretariat.

There should not be unnecessary delay in formalities
The Chief Minister expressed displeasure over the departments not providing complete details of vacant posts and the action taken to fill them and directed them to make the details available in the prescribed format to the Personnel Department at the earliest. He said that the state government wants to recruit vacant posts as soon as possible. So that youth get employment opportunities and development work is not interrupted due to lack of employees. No carelessness will be tolerated in this. There should not be unnecessary delay in completion of formalities.

Committee of Secretaries will monitor the recruitment process
The Chief Minister directed to form a committee at the government level, which would continuously monitor the status of vacant posts in the departments and the action being taken to fill them. In order to ensure that there is no shortfall in the requests sent by the departments, it should be ensured to remove the deficiencies without any delay by coordinating with the State Public Service Commission and the Subordinate Services Selection Commission. The concerned commission should be sent as soon as possible.

Posts of similar nature should be filled together
The Chief Minister directed that the process of filling the posts of the same nature of different departments should be completed simultaneously. This will relieve applicants from applying again and again. Special priority should be given to removing the shortage of field staff. The Chief Minister expected the State Public Service Commission and Subordinate Service Selection Commission to expedite the recruitment process. The Commission should make the government aware when resources are required for this.

Preference to contractual workers in regular recruitment
The Chief Minister said that the details of Upanal, PRD and other contractual workers working against the vacant posts in the departments should also be made available to the Personnel Department. Preference should be given to regular employees working on contract for a long time.

State Public Service Commission Chairman Anand Singh Rawat was told that at present no petition is pending. The recruitment process of Uttarakhand Civil Service Judge by the Public Service Commission, December, the process of recruitment of Earth and Number Officer and Assistant Forest Guard will be completed by March 2020. Subordinate Services Selection Commission Chairman S.K. Raju informed that the recruitment process for 05 thousand posts in the Commission is in motion, on which the recruitment process will be completed in seven-eight months. The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary Om Prakash, Radha Raturi, Secretary Nitesh Jha, Radhika Jha, L. Fanai, Dilip Jawalkar, Harbans Singh Chugh, R.K. Meenakshi Sundaram, Brijesh Sant, Sushil Kumar and other high officials were present.
