Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat participated in “Devbhoomi: Seven Years of Medical Service” program


Addressing the program, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that this mission has been providing its medical services in Kedarnath, Badiranath Yamunotri and other remote places located in the heterogeneous geographical condition of Uttarakhand for 7 consecutive years, which is incomparable.

The Chief Minister said that three years ago the number of doctors in the state was 1087, now it has increased to 2100. Teleradiology / Telemedicine facility has been started. Ghasgauv, situated in Uttarakhand Chamoli district, has been connected to Apollo Hospital in New Delhi. He said that free hostels and travel facilities will be made available for doctors. Chief Minister informed that heli service has been started from Dehradun to Gauchar. Now Gauchar can be reached from Dehradun for 40 minutes.
The Chief Minister said that the dream of the late Dr. Nityanandji is being fulfilled by this mission. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat also released the book “Devbhoomi: Seven Years of Medical Service” on the occasion. It is known that the objective of the establishment of Swami Vivekananda Health Mission Society is to provide health facilities to the pilgrims and local residents of the four dhams of Uttarakhand state. In the year 2012, the first center has been established at Dharmawala, Dehradun. Thereafter, Swami Vivekananda Charitable Hospital has started in Maneri located on Gangotri Dham Marg, Narayan Koti on Kedarnath Dham Marg, Badkoti on Yamunotri Dham Marg and Pipalkoti in Badrinath Dham Marg. Through these centers, modern medical facilities are being provided to the residents and pilgrims of the place. In the same sequence, Swami Vivekananda Sevarth Hospitals have been established by the Mission in Badrinath Dham and Kedarnath Dham in the year 2019.
Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Uttarakhand Governor Baby Rani Maurya, Vijay Kosal Maharaj, Mata Mangalaji Sah-Sarkaryavah, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Dr. Krishna Gopal, Sah-Sarkaryavah, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Suresh Soni etc. were present in the program.
