Dehradun – Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat held a meeting with district magistrates today through video conferencing regarding preparations made at the state level to deal with the corona virus at the secretariat. Chief Minister Trivendra gave instructions to take all necessary steps to deal with the corona virus. He instructed all district magistrates to set up isolation wards in their districts, arrange necessary medicines including trained doctors and paramedic staff. He also directed to arrange a dedicated ambulance and trained staff for the transfer of suspected patients.

Exchange of information should be done continuously to prevent rumors, the
Chief Minister said that virtual classrooms and universities run across the state can be used for prevention and awareness of corona virus. He said that the advisory issued to prevent corona virus should be promoted. The Chief Minister directed all the Heads of Departments to work in coordination with each other to combat the corona virus. He also instructed the District Magistrates that speedy exchange of information through District Information Offices should be done by the Chief Medical Officers continuously to prevent any kind of rumors regarding Corona virus. He instructed that arrangements should be made for over-rating and black marketing of sanitizers and masks etc. Stringent steps should be taken to prevent black marketing and over-rating.

Chief Minister Trivendra instructed for continuous screening of passengers in the border areas bordering China and Nepal. He directed that rapid response should be taken by the Rapid Response Team at the state and district level on the receipt of information about suspected patient or any abnormal condition for effective prevention and control of corona virus. The Chief Minister instructed the District Magistrates to make all necessary arrangements and said that if there is any kind of problem, the Government should be made aware at the earliest, so that necessary arrangements can be made in time. He also instructed the officers to provide additional doctors and health services on the occasion of Purnagiri fair in Champawat. On this occasion, IT Advisor to Chief Minister Ravindra Dutt Petwal, Additional Chief Secretary Om Prakash, Secretary in-charge Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey.
