Concession is being given under the Prime Minister’s Poor Welfare Scheme.

Government of India will bear the contribution of both employer and workers.

Industries where 100 or less workers are employed and 90 percent of the workers have salary less than Rs 15,000 per month can benefit from this scheme.

Chief Minister Shri Trivendra Singh Rawat has appealed to all industrial institutions to take advantage of the exemption given in the EPF by the Government of India in the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Yojana has been launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to provide relief to the common people in the circumstances arising out of Kovid-19. Under this, contribution of provident fund of industries in which 100 or less workers / workers are employed for 6 months from March 2020 to August 2020 and 90 percent workers / workers are getting less than 15 thousand rupees salary. Both employer and employee) are being borne by the Government of India. There are a total of 4502 such institutions under the jurisdiction of the Employees Provident Fund Organization, Dehradun, which may be covered under the said scheme, but less than half of the institutions have taken advantage of it. The Chief Minister has urged the remaining institutions to apply for this scheme of the Government of India so that both the employer and the laborers get benefits.
