Ice skating rink in Auli is ready. Apart from skiing, tourists and skiers coming from India and abroad will also get ice skating facility from this year. Once the proper temperature is attained, the work of freezing the ice in the rink will start soon.

The construction of the ice skating rink began during the Saif Winter Games in Auli in 2010–11, but the construction of the rink was left incomplete after the Saif Games. The GMVN (Garhwal Mandal Development Corporation) and the tourism department demanded a budget to complete the construction but the budget was not approved.
Seven years later, in the year 2017, the government approved a budget of Rs 138.79 lakh under the state plan for the construction of the rink. Work started on 15 December 2018 which is now completed after two years. After freezing the machines in the rink, the tourists will be able to enjoy the ice skating rink along with skiing at the Auli Slope.

Tourism Minister will inaugurate four:
The state’s tourism minister Satpal Maharaj will inaugurate the ice skating rink on 4 November in Auli. Kumoli Joshi, the officer-in-charge of Chamoli district, told that the tourism minister will inaugurate the ice skating rink at Auli at 11 am.

The ice skating rink at Auli has been completed. After freezing the ice in the rink, the tourists and skiers in Auli will be able to enjoy the game at the ice skating rink. The rink is 30 meters in length and 60 meters in width. The club house, locker room, guard room, store room, prefabricate huts have been constructed in the rink complex.
