The main celebration of the silver jubilee of the state’s establishment will be spectacular, with machinery in full swing for preparations.

The machinery is in full swing for the main celebration of the silver jubilee of the state of Uttarakhand, to be held at the Forest Research Institute (FRI) in Dehradun on November 9th. With Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the chief guest, arrangements are being meticulously tailored. Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan inspected the venue on Saturday to review the preparations. He also provided detailed information on all arrangements and issued necessary directives to officials. The Chief Secretary emphasized that special attention should be paid to all aspects of security and arrangements in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival on November 9th. He directed that proper entry and exit routes be established for the public attending the event to avoid congestion. He also stated that, keeping in mind the expected attendance of approximately 60,000 to 70,000 people, seating, drinking water, medical facilities, toilets, and other facilities should be fully prepared. The Chief Secretary directed to prepare a detailed plan to keep the traffic and parking system well organized, so that there is no inconvenience to the general public and the traffic of the city is also not affected. He told the officials that all preparations should be completed on time and work should be done in coordination. During the inspection, many senior officers including DGP Deepam Seth, Secretary Shailesh Bagauli, Dr. BVRCC Purushottam, Vinay Shankar Pandey, Vinod Kumar Suman, District Magistrate Dehradun Savin Bansal and Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari were present.
