The inter-ministerial team of the Center will visit the disaster affected areas next week. In this team, experts from various ministries will take stock of the damage as well as prepare a strategy for rescue and relief operations. Apart from this, a joint team of the Army and the State will monitor the drainage of water from the lake being formed in Bhagirathi. Whatever assistance Uttarakhand needs from the NDMA level will be provided immediately. All possible financial assistance will be provided from the central government level for reconstruction work in Dharali. The team will visit the disaster affected areas next week for the initial assessment of the damage.

Also asked to send a joint team to the spot
He said that the Government of India and the Home Ministry are fully standing with Uttarakhand. He also asked to monitor the lake being formed in the upper region of Harshil and to send a joint team of Army and State agencies to the spot soon for water drainage. Secretary Disaster Management Vinod Kumar Suman said that water is being drained from the lake that has been formed. A team has inspected. Top officials of Army, ITBP, NDRF, BRO, Air Force, Meteorological Department and other departments present in the meeting also discussed the strategy for further rescue operation. NDMA member Syed Ata Hasnain, ACEO Administration Anand Swaroop, SEO Implementation Rajkumar Negi etc. were present in the meeting.
