The government will now give Rs 50 lakh instead of 10 lakh to the dependents of the martyred soldiers of the state. The special thing is that this ex-gratia amount will be given from 26 July 2024, the date of announcement of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had announced a five-fold increase in the ex-gratia amount to the dependents of the martyred soldiers on Kargil Vijay Diwas last year. After the CM’s announcement, the proposal was sent to the Justice and then the Finance Department for approval, but the Finance Department had objected to it. Due to which the matter of giving increased ex-gratia amount to the dependents of the martyred soldiers was hanging. Now an order has been issued in this regard. In which it has been said that the dependents of the martyred soldiers residing in the state of Uttarakhand will be given Rs 50 lakh instead of 10 as ex-gratia.

An order has been issued to give an ex-gratia of Rs 50 lakh to the dependents of the martyred soldiers of the state. This amount will be given from the date of announcement by the Chief Minister.
