Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami interacted with talented school students and child legislators on the topic ‘Self-reliant Tehri concept’. Encouraging these meritorious children, the Chief Minister said that they should always move forward with a vow that in whatever field they work, they should work as leaders. At the time of doing any work, at that time full attention should be on that work. It is important to understand the importance of time. The time that is gone will never come back, so make full use of the time. The Chief Minister asked the school children to study stress-free at the time of examination. No work should be done considering it as a burden. If there is enthusiasm in the mind towards work, then any destination can be achieved. The children said that they saw the live telecast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Pariksha Pe Charcha programme. He got to learn many new things through this program.
Ipsita Chamial of class 07 said that it is a matter of pride that we got a chance to interact with the Chief Minister for self-reliant Tehri. He said that many works are being done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take the country forward in the direction of self-reliant India. He said that to make Tehri district self-reliant, the youth will have to be linked with self-employment. Self-help groups have to be further strengthened. Many tourism based activities will have to be further promoted in Tehri Dam. It has to be made famous at the international level. Work will have to be done to improve the health facilities up to the Nyaya Panchayat level.
Health Minister Bal Sarkar Suraj Raturi said that to make Tehri district self-reliant, special attention will have to be paid on employment, health and education. Home stay and local products will have to be promoted. It is necessary to promote higher educational institutions in the district. 12th student Shananaz said that products based on millets have to be promoted in the district. Organic farming has to be promoted more. Apart from promoting tourism and pilgrimage, offerings based on local products will have to be promoted in the temples, so that the livelihood resources of the people at the local level can be increased.
