Big relief for sugarcane farmers..



Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has sanctioned an amount of 193.24 crore for the payment of cane price to the sugarcane farmers of the state. With the acceptance of this amount, the farmers will be paid their residual sugarcane value. Due to non-payment of sugarcane price, the remnants of sugarcane farmers by the sugar mills were constantly being requested by the farmers, farmer representatives and farmers’ organizations in this regard, the Chief Minister has approved this amount in the larger interest of the farmers.
The Chief Minister said that sugarcane farmers should be paid their produce on time. The Chief Minister has also directed to take effective action in the direction of improvement of sugar mills and quick solution to the problems of sugarcane farmers. The Chief Minister said that our aim is to protect the interests of farmers. For this, the scheme should be implemented keeping in mind the interests of the farmers. He also emphasized that attention should be paid to how to increase farmers’ income from sugarcane production.
The Chief Minister said that the amount of Rupees 193.24 crores being sanctioned in the larger interest of sugarcane farmers will facilitate the payment of sugarcane value of farmers and the problem of sugarcane payment to the sugarcane farmers of the state will also be solved.
The Chief Minister said that for timely payment to the sugarcane farmers at the level of the state’s cooperative and public sector sugar mills, the sugar mills will have to concentrate on strengthening their economic condition, so that in future the farmers at the level of the sugar mills will only Sugarcane price may be paid.
