BJP misled the public on smart meters

Congress District President Himanshu Gawa said that even before the civic elections, Congress had opposed the smart meter. In protest against this, a sit-in was also held at the Superintending Engineer’s office of Energy Corporation. In the civic elections, Rudrapur MLA Shiv Arora and Vikas Sharma, while contesting for the post of mayor, had said that smart meters would not be installed. During the elections, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had also assured the public that smart meters would not be installed. After the election, Mayor Vikas Sharma and MLA Arora started saying that whatever is in the interest of the public, that work will be done. The MLA is talking about installing smart meters at his house. In the name of installing smart meters in the election, the MLA, Mayor and BJP have misled the public. When the smart meters had arrived in the warehouse, it was known that the installation of meters was certain. BJP has been accused of cheating the public. The public will never forgive this.
