The Sports Department has prepared a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for free training of youth for Agniveer recruitment in the Army. The department will provide training in all districts of the state. For training, youth must be permanent residents of the state with 45 percent or more marks in high school. Following the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Sports Department has prepared the SOP for pre-recruitment training. The purpose of the training is to prepare youth for Agniveer recruitment, enabling them to pursue a career in the Army. For young men and women interested in Agniveer pre-recruitment training, they must be native and permanent residents of Uttarakhand, or studying or serving in an institution in Uttarakhand. Additionally, the eligibility criteria for training are 33 percent in each subject in the high school examination and above the age of 16. Registration for training is mandatory at the District Sports Office and the District Youth Welfare Officer’s office. The SOP requires submitting a health certificate for training. During training, you must wear a sports T-shirt, shorts, sports shoes, and socks. You should not have any tattoos or unnatural permanent marks on your body.
Uttarakhand has a rich military tradition, with every family here having a member join the army. Therefore, the government is providing pre-recruitment training for Agniveers. The state government has decided to provide reservations for Agniveers in government jobs after their service.
