Seven days of national mourning in Uttarakhand, tricolor will remain half-mast

On the demise of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, there will be national mourning in the state for seven days i.e. till January 1, 2025. During this period, the national flag will remain half-mast in the state. No government entertainment program will be organized on national mourning days. In the sequence of instructions issued by the Union Home Ministry, General Administration Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman issued an order in this regard on Friday. In the government order, all the Principal Secretaries including Additional Chief Secretary, Special Principal Secretary, Secretaries, Director General of Police, Divisional Commissioners, all Department Heads and District Magistrates have been asked to ensure compliance of the instructions.

Vikasnagar: Various organizations paid tribute to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on his demise. In the condolence meeting organized on Friday, the speakers said that Manmohan Singh will always be remembered for economic reforms in the country. In a program organized by Pachhadun Vikas Manch at the Manch office, Convenor Atul Sharma paid tribute and said that Dr. Manmohan Singh’s contribution for the economic reforms done in the interest of the country as Prime Minister cannot be forgotten. He understood the dignity of the post he held very well and set an example in fulfilling its responsibilities. On this occasion, senior members of the Manch Mukesh Sharma, Amod Sharma, Aman Bijalwan, Mohan Khatri, Bhupendra Singh, Veer Singh Rana, Captain Jaggi, Brijesh Kumar, Rakesh Kashyap, Sunita Devi, Manjit Kaur, Leela Rana etc. were present.

At the same time, the City Congress Committee Vikasnagar also paid tribute to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. Kitesh Jaiswal said that Manmohan Singh was a great economist. He took the country to new heights during his tenure as Prime Minister.
