Schools are going to open from November 2 for students of classes 10th and 12th.

Schools are going to open in Uttarakhand for students of classes 10th and 12th from November 2. But there will be no prayer meetings or sports in schools. These instructions have been given to the officials on behalf of Education Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram in the meeting of departmental officers at the secretariat.

The Education Secretary said that guidelines regarding schools will be released soon. Separate guidelines will be issued for the day and boarding schools. He informed that schools will be sanitized. Children will be seated at a distance of six feet.

In the place where the children will sit, doors and windows will be kept open. All children and teachers will come wearing masks. Children will come to school only with the permission of parents. Online classes will continue for children who are unable to attend school.

The education secretary said that children’s health will be checked in schools with a thermometer. Apart from this, they will be made aware of Covid-19 through pumplets, posters etc. At the same time, teachers have been instructed to take special care of cleanliness in schools.

Social distancing should be taken care of in school buses too:
Social distancing will also be taken care of in school buses. The curtains will be open in the bus in which the children will sit. If the number of children in a school is high, then children will be taught according to the shift there. Children will not share their tiffan and copy books etc.

Apart from this, you will not be able to come to bookseller or other school without permission. The Education Secretary said that a committee will be set up to supervise the schools under the chairmanship of the District Magistrates. At the same time, the health of the children will be examined from time to time by the Health Department.

Education Director RK Kunwar, Director SCERT Seema Jaunsari, Joint Director Bhupendra Negi, Additional Director VS Rawat, Assistant Commissioner CBSE Ranveer Singh etc. were present in the meeting.
