Samples of five medicines manufactured in Uttarakhand have failed the test. Their quality was not found to be as per the standard. On which the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSO) has issued a drug alert regarding this. These include medicines manufactured in the manufacturing units of Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts. Let us tell you that in four months, samples of 35 medicines manufactured in Uttarakhand have failed. Actually, in the past years, questions were raised about the quality of some medicines manufactured in India. Especially the death of children in Zambia and Uzbekistan was linked to cough medicine made in India. After which the central government has increased the monitoring of medicines.
The Union Health Ministry is getting the medicines tested every month. In this sequence, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization has released the investigation report of the month of June. In which the quality of 31 medicines manufactured across the country was not found to be as per the standards. These also include five medicines manufactured in Uttarakhand.
