Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, an amount of Rs 181 crore was transferred to the bank accounts of 8.21 lakh farmers of the state on Monday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the nationwide farmers’ conference from Bhagalpur, Bihar, while here in Dehradun, Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi participated in the Kisan Sammelan organized in Sarkhet and gave information related to the amount to the farmers. Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi said that the 19th installment (PM Kisan Samman Nidhi) was transferred to the farmers. Joshi said that the central and state government are working for the prosperity of the farmers and under this, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is proving to be an important step for the farmers.
These equipments were provided in the program
In the program, farmers of various group organizations were also provided with checks of support amount along with equipment like power weeder, multicrop thresher, brush cutter, flour mill, chaff cutter, tractor under the Farm Machinery Bank. The Agriculture Minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, agriculture and horticulture schemes are being run by the state government, the main objective of which is to increase the income of farmers and strengthen the agriculture sector.
Farmers get 6 thousand rupees in three installments
Efforts are being made to increase the productivity of farmers by providing them state-of-the-art agricultural machinery, water conservation facilities and training. He informed that under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, financial assistance of six thousand rupees is provided to farmers every year in three installments.
