The Uttarakhand government has removed Arvind Kumar Pandey, an officer of the state civil service, from the post of Additional District Magistrate (Administration) of Dehradun. They are kept waiting until a new deployment takes place. There will also be vigilance investigation against him. According to highly placed sources, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has also instructed Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi to take vigilance action against Pandey.

Till now, Pandey was considered one of the most influential bureaucrats. He was once transferred from Dehradun, but with his influence he stopped it. But for a long time, the Chief Minister’s Office and the Government were receiving complaints about their functioning. The Chief Minister’s office could not ignore these complaints after receiving constant complaints. Complaints about Pandey also reached the Chief Minister.

According to sources, taking cognizance of these complaints, the Chief Minister directed the Personnel and Vigilance Department to take action. On Monday, Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi issued orders to remove Pandey from the post of Additional District Magistrate (Administration). Pandey is kept in a wait and is instructed to immediately be relieved of his post. Till he gets the new posting, his salary will be released from the Pay Accounts Section-5 (Irala Check Section) located at the Secretariat.
