Public grievances pending, officers accountable, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took a tough stand on bureaucracy and red tape

He said that complaints should be disposed of in a quality manner. If there are more pending cases, then the accountability of the concerned officer will be fixed. Every Monday at the secretary level, there will be a review of the resolution of public grievances related to the departments of the Chief Minister.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a meeting with the top officials regarding good governance at the Secretariat on Wednesday. On this occasion the functioning of the bureaucracy and government departments was his target. The Chief Minister said that good governance should be seen at the grassroots level. Give more convenience to the public. Public related procedures should be simplified. Eliminate unnecessary formalities. Complaints should be dealt with expeditiously. Pending cases related to this should be kept at least.

Radha Raturi will review social welfare and health
The Chief Minister directed Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi to review the Social Welfare and Health Department separately. He said that the administrative officers should reach out to the people standing in the last row and solve their problems. The time for meeting the general public in the districts and tehsils should be fixed. The roster of Tehsil days should be fixed. Instructions were given for regular organization of multi-purpose camps and their wide publicity.

Add more services on Apni Sarkar Portal:
Dhami said that good governance should be felt by the people. Field level officers and employees play an important role in this. They should be motivated to give good results. In this work, the District Magistrate will have to play the role of the team leader. Effective and continuous monitoring should be done at each level. There is a need to add more services on Apni Sarkar Portal. Clear decisions should be taken in high level meetings. Their implementation should be ensured within the stipulated time frame.

Make a solid plan to provide door-to-door services:
The Chief Minister said that information technology should be used more to speed up the work of the government. The details of the number of cases pending with the departments are necessary. With more use of e-office, tracking of files is easier. He said that a solid plan should be prepared to provide essential services to the common people by going door-to-door. Initially it will be run as a pilot project. It will be fully implemented after getting better results. This will also provide employment to the youth. There should be a solid system of benefits through DBT to the beneficiaries of all the schemes.

Teach senior officers in schools:
The Chief Minister expected the senior officers to visit government schools and teach children there. Students should be motivated to achieve goals in life. It also said that good governance is possible only when there is an improvement in behavior. Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked about Minimum Government, Maximum Governance and implemented it effectively. Work will be done in this direction in the state. He asked to make CM Helpline 1905 and 1064 more effective. He stressed on increasing inter-departmental coordination.
Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu, Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, R Meenakshi Sundaram, Nitesh Jha, Radhika Jha, Dilip Jawalkar, ITDA Director Amit Kumar Sinha and many senior officers were present in the meeting. All the District Magistrates, except the Divisional Commissioner and Champawat district, participated through video conferencing.

System will be strengthened in Chardham:
The system will be more robust in Chardham Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gave instructions to the officials in this regard in a meeting held on Wednesday at the Secretariat regarding Chardham Yatra. He also stressed on strengthening health facilities on the Chardham Yatra routes.

The Chief Minister took the details of the arrangements made for the convenience of the passengers on the Chardham and Yatra routes in the meeting. He also asked to focus on cleanliness in toilets on travel routes. The Chief Minister said that special care should be taken to ensure that the travel of devotees coming from the country and abroad is smooth and safe. He directed that the tourism and health department will issue detailed guidelines and give wide publicity to the pilgrims visiting the pilgrimage.
The Chief Minister said that the devotees and tourists coming to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand should take a good message from here, it is everyone’s responsibility. He directed the officers to continuously review the arrangements for Chardham Yatra as well as other tourist places. If there are any deficiencies, they should be rectified immediately.
