Himalaya Day 2019: Protection of Himalayas essential for human life- Trivendra Singh Rawat (CM UK)


Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has said in his message issued on the eve of Himalayan Day that the Himalayas are connected with the concerns of our lives. The Chief Minister said that the Himalayas affect not only India but a large population of the world. Our culture is also influenced by the Himalayas. Protection of the Himalayas is essential for human life. The Himalaya is also a symbol of purity. This is both our future and heritage.

Chief Minister Trivendra said that Ganga cannot be conceived without Himalayas. The Himalayas unite the whole of India with its rivers and climate. This is also evident from the faith of crores of people towards Ganga and Yamuna. Our state is the latest state of the Himalayan region. The Himalayas are a boon for Uttarakhand. Chardham is a symbol of faith in Uttarakhand, as well as its captivating faults and natural resources, providing immense possibilities for tourism and economic development. Most of our food and water supply comes from the Himalayas. He also stressed the need for public participation for the preservation of the Himalayas.
