The amendment bill for strict land law in Uttarakhand has been approved. The meeting of the Pushkar Singh Dhami cabinet was held in the Assembly on Wednesday from 9.30 am. The proposal for strict land law was approved in the meeting. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had announced to bring a new land law in the budget session. There is a movement going on in the state demanding to make the land law strict. The main opposition party is also trying to corner the government on this issue. Now it will be tabled in the assembly in the budget session.

Four main points of the proposal of land law:
The purpose for which the land will be taken in the new proposed law, it cannot be misused in any other way.
People from outside the state will not be able to purchase land for agriculture and horticulture in other districts except Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar.
Government permission is necessary before purchasing land for other purposes.
An outsider can buy 250 square meters of land for the family only once. An affidavit will have to be given to the registrar.
The draft of the amended bill has been approved in the cabinet meeting held before the beginning of the assembly session on Wednesday. In the meeting, points related to paperless registry in the state, Mukhyamantri Ekal Mahila Swarojgar Yojana, education, finance, revenue, tourism, urban development, Panchayati Raj were also discussed.
Budget will be presented in the presence of Chief Minister Dhami
Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal will present the state budget for the year 2025-26 in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in the Legislative Assembly on February 20.
In fact, the swearing-in of the BJP government is to be held in Delhi on February 20. Earlier the time for this was fixed at 4.30 pm. In such a situation, it was believed that after the presentation of the budget in the Assembly on this day, Chief Minister Dhami would leave for Delhi. Meanwhile, the time for the oath taking in Delhi has been fixed at 11 am.
Chief Minister and Speaker of the Assembly inaugurated the multi-purpose building
Dehradun: The newly constructed multi-purpose building in the Assembly premises was inaugurated by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Speaker of the Assembly Ritu Khanduri Bhushan on Tuesday, the first day of the budget session. International Parliamentary Studies Research and Training Institute has also been established in this building.
Through this institute, research and study will be done on public policies. On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Premchand Aggarwal, Satpal Maharaj, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Rekha Arya and other ministers and MLAs were present.
Chief Minister met Khanduri
Before the commencement of the budget session of the Legislative Assembly, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan in the Assembly on Tuesday. Cabinet Minister Premchand Aggarwal, MLA Khajan Das and Parvati Das were also present on this occasion.
