Problems of railway passengers will increase from the new year.

Five trains including Dehradun-New Delhi Jan Shatabdi, Dehradun-Prayagraj Link Express, Dehradun-Kathgodam Jan Shatabdi Express, Dehradun-Gorakhpur Rapti Ganga Express and Dehradun-Muzaffarpur Rapti Ganga Express have been closed for the next eight days from Tuesday. These trains will now be operational from January 6. However, the operation of Jan Shatabdi will start from Wednesday.

Station Superintendent (Operations) Sitaram Shankar said that due to construction works related to doubling of railway line between Haridwar-Acre railway station, there has been a ban on the running of trains on behalf of Railway Board and Northern Railway. Let me tell you that earlier, the operation of trains like Shatabdi, Jan Shatabdi and Link Express has been banned earlier.

Naini-Doon Jan Shatabdi will not run till January 5:
The Naini-Doon Janshatabdi special train running between Kathgodam-Dehradun will remain closed for a few days. Kathgodam Railway Station Superintendent Selection Rai said that the train will not operate from Tuesday to January 5. Roadways have taken steps in view of the train operations being stopped.

ARM Haldwani Surendra Bisht said that the operation of three buses going to Haridwar in the morning has been extended to Dehradun. The bus operation of various depots from six o’clock in the morning to Dehradun. There is a bus service after every half an hour. If demand increases, additional buses will also be operated.

Increased trouble for passengers on New Year:
Passenger problems have increased due to the stoppage of five trains including Shatabdi, Jan Shatabdi by Railway Board and Northern Railway on the occasion of New Year. The most problematic is the passengers who travel in trains to celebrate the new year.

In such a situation, now that the Railway Board and Northern Railway has stopped the operation of most of the trains operating from Dehradun, the trouble of passengers is bound to increase. All trains operating from Dehradun are already closed due to the Corona crisis.
