PM Modi can inaugurate the country’s first 1000 MW PSP, 75% work completed

THDC Chairman and Managing Director RK Vishnoi said, the Pump Storage Plant (PSP) of Tehri Dam Project is the first project of the country, whose more than 75% work has been completed. The Government of India is also paying special attention to this 1000 MW project. Preparations are being made to get it inaugurated by the Prime Minister.

He said, the process of medical college in Tehri is also in progress. Work of Water Sports Academy has started. He said, the process of displacement for the dam has been completed, but apart from this, a committee will be formed to solve any problem that may arise. The CMD said, the PSP project of Tehri Dam Project is an important project of the country. In this first and largest project of the country, four machines of 250-250 MW are to be installed. The first unit of PSP has been connected to the grid. He said, a plan is being made to complete the project soon and get it inaugurated by the PM. Whenever approval is received from the PM’s office. Accordingly, further preparations will be started. Regarding the medical college in Tehri, the CMD said, the process is in progress. Now the formalities of taking permission from the Medical Council of India and the Government of India are to be completed.
The work of the water sports academy has started in Koteshwar. Financial resources have also been mobilized for this work. He said, THDC has been organizing water sports in Tehri lake for two years. We will continue to expand it. We will promote youth in the water sports academy being built in Koteshwar.
