Opportunity for youth in Uttarakhand: Patent your ideas for free; government makes major announcement.

The Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UKASST) will now provide young entrepreneurs with the opportunity to patent their innovations and technological inventions. Young people and entrepreneurs in the state who develop any technology can easily file for a patent by visiting any of UKASST’s patent centers. This initiative will not only provide a platform for showcasing the talent of young people but will also pave the way for them to gain recognition in the scientific and technological fields. UKASST is also planning to connect rural youth and women entrepreneurs with science and technology-based skill development programs, for which it will collaborate with the Punjab National Bank. Considering the employment-oriented needs of the youth, both institutions have agreed to start training programs in courses such as organic farming, nursery development, computer accounting, CCTV installation, motor mechanics, and UPS and battery maintenance. The two institutions have decided to jointly formulate a work plan to determine the duration of the training, the curriculum, and the number of participants. PNB will promote science and technology programs in collaboration with UKASST to provide more opportunities for young people. This initiative to empower rural youth technologically and scientifically is being considered commendable.
