Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has condoled the death of former PM and Congress leader Manmohan Singh. He said that Manmohan Singh’s life was dedicated to the nation. CM Dhami wrote on social media site X – Received very sad news of the death of former Prime Minister of the country Dr. Manmohan Singh ji.
He wrote that – While discharging various responsibilities, his whole life was dedicated to the service of the nation. I pray to God to give place to the virtuous soul in his feet and give strength to the bereaved family and supporters to bear this immense pain. Harish Rawat also expressed grief
Former Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat also condoled the death of Manmohan Singh. He wrote on the social media site Facebook- Dr. Manmohan Singh is an unprecedented personality, a finance minister who laid the foundation of India’s economic development which was laid by Rajiv Gandhi ji. He raised that foundation with new economic plans. Today’s tall building is the result of his work as a finance minister and he took it forward as the Prime Minister of India. He put India on the path of establishing it as an economic superpower. He showed us the dream of becoming a 5 trillion dollar economy and he took the country forward in the direction of that dream. The Congress leader wrote- During his (Manmohan Singh) tenure, 27 crore people came above the poverty line. The poor were given the right to work under MNREGA, he gave rights to forest dwellers in the form of forest rights where he lived near the forest. Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh ji, who gave a series of rights one after the other to the common man – loan waiver of 70 thousand crores to farmers, Right to Information, an unprecedented step towards cleanliness in public life, right to education, right to medical treatment, right to food security – is not among us today, but he will always remain in our hearts and in the hearts of the countrymen and the well-wishers of India.
