Now in the state, skilled players will also get the benefit of four percent horizontal reservation in the State Senior Subordinate Service. In this regard, the Personnel Department has sent a revised requisition to the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission and has expected to take action for recruitment in accordance with the provision of four percent horizontal reservation for skilled players on the advertised posts of Deputy Education Officer in the Secondary Education Department and State Tax Officer in the Finance Department.
All players will get benefit
Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that the state government is continuously working in the interest of sports and players under the able leadership of Chief Minister Dhami. All players will get benefit from this decision. The state government has made a provision of four percent horizontal reservation in government services for skilled players. In the sequence of this decision, the government has started it with the state’s biggest examination, the State Senior Subordinate Service Examination.
In fact, during the issuance of the order, the Public Service Commission had advertised the posts of Senior Subordinate Service Examination. After the implementation of the order, the commission had asked the concerned departments to calculate the horizontal reservation for these posts and provide a revised requisition. In this sequence, the government has now sent a revised requisition to the commission. This has cleared the way for reservation of skilled players on these posts. Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that a provision of four percent horizontal reservation has been made to include players in the state government service. She said that it will include such players who have won medals at the national or international level.
She said that till now talented players have been serving in other states. Now such talented players will be able to serve in their own state. She said that the government has also made a provision for out of turn jobs. She said that the decisions taken in the interest of sports and players will attract the youth of the state towards sports and will bring glory to the country and the state in the coming times.
