Nine thousand ration sellers may receive a dividend increase before Diwali.

Departmental Minister Rekha Arya has issued instructions to distribute dividends under the National Food Security Act and the State Food Scheme equally. According to Food Commissioner Chandresh Kumar, ration sellers in the state are demanding that the dividends under the State Food Scheme be equal to those provided by the Central Government. The Central Government is providing a dividend of Rs. 180 per quintal, and the State Government is providing Rs. 50 per quintal. The Food Commissioner’s office has submitted a proposal to the government for equal dividends, which will be decided at the government level. Meanwhile, Departmental Minister Rekha Arya has issued instructions to distribute dividends to government vendors under the State Food Scheme and the National Food Scheme equally. If the proposal is approved by the government, ration sellers under the State Food Scheme will receive a dividend of Rs. 180 per quintal, similar to the Central Government’s dividend.
