Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, in a high-level meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence, directed officials to prepare an effective action plan for the events to be held on November 9th, marking State Foundation Day. He directed public participation in the events. The CM stated that no negligence in road construction and repair works will be tolerated.
Reconstruction and repair of damaged roads should be completed on a priority basis. The Chief Minister also directed the preparation of an action plan for the maintenance of the Nanda Rajjat routes and the development of infrastructure facilities at the night halts of the Yatra. He commended the efforts of all concerned institutions and officials in the relief and rescue operations during the recent disaster. He urged the development of an effective action plan to reduce the increasing traffic pressure in cities. He urged intensive inspection campaigns to ensure cleanliness and prevent adulteration of food items. He urged the acceleration of construction and new construction work in the state. The Chief Minister said that special monitoring should be done in those areas from where road related complaints are being received repeatedly and special attention should be paid to the quality of work. The Chief Minister directed to conduct weekly review of the pothole free road campaign and complete the patch work by 31st October. He also directed to conduct on-site inspection of road repair works.
Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu, R Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Vinay Shankar Pandey, Additional Director General of Police AP Anshuman, Special Secretary Dr. Parag Madhukar Dhakate and Additional Secretary Banshidhar Tiwari were present in the meeting.
