Due to the ongoing Gujjar agitation in Rajasthan for reservation in jobs, the Nanda Devi Express from Dehradun to Kota was canceled on Thursday. Due to this, the passengers had to suffer a lot. All the reservation centers of the station remained open till late night to cancel the reservation of passengers.

Station Superintendent (Operations) Sitaram Shankar said that the operation of Nanda Devi Express was canceled due to Gurjar agitation in Rajasthan. Told that Nanda Devi Express coming from Kota to Dehradun will arrive tomorrow (Friday). But, on Friday, the Nanda Devi train will not operate from Kota to Dehradun.
On the other hand, passengers faced problems due to cancellation of the train on one occasion. The most problematic was the passengers who had made reservations at the railway station reservation centers. Passengers who had made reservations online, had received information about the train being canceled on their mobile phones. On the other hand, Chief Commercial Inspector of Railways SK Aggarwal said that all the counters of the reservation center were opened till late night. Passengers’ reservations were canceled and they were given refunds.
