The system issued by the Nainital High Court for self-defense of their cases, party-in-person, has been revised and the rules have been prepared.



The party-in-person will have to appear before the committee set up for investigation in the new rules for self-defense of their cases. The person will be eligible for lobbying only after giving the affidavit in the order given for necessary investigation and lobbying.

Notification to this effect has been issued by the High Court Registrar General Dhananjay Chaturvedi. The notification states that the High Court has framed the rules in relation to the defense of their cases themselves (Party in Person). According to the rules, any person who wants to represent the party in his promises, will have to submit an application in this regard to the registry office. In the order of this application, a committee constituted by the Chief Justice will consider it.

Two officers of the Registry Office will be nominated to the Party in Person Committee. Committee officials will give certificates for lobbying to the person concerned only after necessary investigation etc. During this time, the main advocates will be informed about various necessary aspects including court decorum, conduct, language of debate. After that, the person living in these parties will also have to give an affidavit to observe the dignity of the court. After this, he will be able to defend his case.
It is worth mentioning that till now there was a system that any person could do his case on his own without advocating or arguing. The High Court has framed this rule keeping in mind various aspects including decorum, decorum of the court.

There will be no national mark in the cause list:
According to another notification of the High Court, now the national mark will not be published in the list of promises. Notification to this effect has been issued by the High Court Registrar General Dhananjay Chaturvedi. This order has also been implemented with immediate effect.
