Marriage registration on UCC portal has been made mandatory for all married employees working in government service. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has directed the heads of all departments to appoint nodal officers. It is mandatory for employees who got married after 26 March 2010 to register on UCC portal. Nodal officers will register the employees of their districts in a timely manner and send the report to the Home Secretary. On Monday, Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan has also issued instructions in this regard. At the same time, Chief Secretary Radha has directed the Director ITDA to ensure seamless registration on UCC portal. She has said that they should provide necessary technical assistance to the districts and departments. If any district or department has technical requirement, they should contact her immediately.
