Classes and admissions due to Covid-19 at Maharana Pratap Sports College in Dehradun will start from this month.

On Wednesday, Sports Minister Arvind Pandey held a review meeting of the Sports College at the Secretariat, which gave several guidelines.

It was decided in the meeting that for the students of parents of 10th, 12th, whose parents have agreed to send their children to the sports college, the sports department will issue classes by adopting all the safety measures by issuing SOP.
The admission process for class six in the academic session 2020-21 will be started in the third week of November. For this, after getting permission from the SOP and the District Magistrate of the respective district, the admission process will be completed by December 2020 by conducting preliminary selection trials at the district level and sports-wise at district level.

In connection with construction works under the 38th National Sports and other establishment facilities in Sports College, the Sports Minister instructed the Executive Institute Drinking Water Construction Corporation to complete all the works on the scheduled time.

Minister Arvind Pandey instructed to build on the land of Youth Welfare Department in Bijpuri, Bajpur for the opening of Girls Sports College in Udham Singh Nagar. Instructions were also given to send proposals to the government to create previously sanctioned posts and new posts in Maharana Pratap Sports College.

Secretary Sports Brijesh Kumar Sant, Joint Director Dr. Dharmendra Bhatt, Satish Sarki, Deputy Director Shakti Singh, Assistant Director Neeraj Gupta, Project Manager Rakesh Chand Tiwari, Kamalkant Sharma were present in the meeting.
