Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that in the silver jubilee year of its establishment, the government is determined to ensure that Uttarakhand succeeds in making its mark among the leading states of the country. In his message on the occasion of State Foundation Day, he congratulated the people of the state on the completion of 24 years of state formation and entering the silver jubilee year. Along with this, while paying tribute to the agitators who sacrificed their lives during the state formation movement and the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice for the country, he also saluted former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who laid the foundation of Uttarakhand. He also said that the Uniform Civil Code law will be implemented in the state soon. The Chief Minister said that with the blessings of the people of the state, the strong will of the government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s special attachment to Uttarakhand and the cooperation of the Central Government, the state is moving towards rapid development. To give concrete form to the concept of holistic and balanced development of the state, an initiative has been taken to write a new saga of development with transparency, public participation and new work culture. We are moving towards achieving the goal of a strong Uttarakhand with the important participation of women, youth and ex-servicemen.
He said that Prime Minister Modi had said that the third decade of the 21st century will belong to Uttarakhand. The state is progressing rapidly as per his expectations. In this sequence, he mentioned the state getting the first position in the SDG Index, Achievers in Ease of Doing Business and Leaders category in Startup Ranking. He also said that Uttarakhand getting three meetings of G-20 is a big achievement, which is a symbol of the Prime Minister’s unwavering faith in the ability and talent of the people of Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister thanked Prime Minister Modi for the grand and divine reconstruction of Kedarnath Dham, development of Badrinath Dham as per the master plan, Char Dham All Weather Road, Rishikesh-Karnprayag Rail Project, Gaurikund-Kedarnath and Govindghat-Hemkund Sahib Ropeway, Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission, development of Jolly Grant and Pantnagar Airport as international airports and many other schemes of the Prime Minister’s dream project.
He said that the government has created an investment-friendly environment to attract more investment in the state. Special focus has been given on tourism, AYUSH, wellness, IT, solar energy, service sector in the hills. For Vocal for Local, livelihood opportunities are being increased through one district, two products. A new solar energy policy has been introduced. Uttarakhand is at the forefront in the disposal of the events of PM Suryaghar Yojana. Border villages are being developed through the Vibrant Village program. Chief Minister Border Area Development Scheme has been started for these areas.
He said that the future of the youth of Uttarakhand has been secured by implementing the country’s most stringent anti-copying law. 18,500 recruitments have been done in three years. Effective steps have been taken to curb corruption. The vision of good governance is being realized through a transparent system. The Chief Minister said that the government has started several schemes to honor the mother power, including 30 percent horizontal reservation for women in government jobs.
He said that along with the increase in the pension of the state agitators, their dependents have been given 10 percent horizontal reservation in government services. To maintain the original form of Devbhoomi, a strict law has been brought against forced conversion in the state. A law has been implemented in the state to recover the entire loss from the rioters. A continuous campaign is going on to free government land from encroachment.
