Kripa Nautiyal of Uttarakhand becomes Additional Director General of Coast Guard


Kripa Nautiyal of Uttarakhand has been made Coast Guard Additional Director General Coast Guard. Till now he was serving as Coast Guard Commander (Eastern Maritime Border Area). Nautiyal will take charge in Delhi on Saturday.

Kripa Nautiyal, originally haja village resident of Uttarakhand Jaunsar, is the only serving three star rank flag officer of the region. He served various operational, staff and command appointments during his 37 years of distinguished service before attaining the Flag rank.

Successfully completed operations of three prestigious command:

Apart from this, he has also commanded various advanced offshore patrol vessels, offshore patrol vessels and rapid patrol vessels of the Indian Coast Guard. Presently, he is the only serving Coast Guard officer who has successfully completed the operations of the three prestigious command.
He was awarded the Coast Guard Medal in 1992 and President’s Coast Guard Medal in 2013 for outstanding services. He has completed a Naval Staff course with distinguished grading from the Naval War College of America. He is an alumnus of the Coast Guard Academy of America, York City.
