The doors of the Kedarnath Temple will be closed for the winter season on Thursday at 8:30 am with Vedic chanting and religious rituals. On Wednesday, the movable idol of Lord Kedarnath, the Panchmukhi Doli, was placed in the temple’s Sabhamandap. The closing process will begin at 4 am with special prayers. After the closure, the Panchmukhi Doli will arrive at Rampur, its first stop for the night. As part of the closing process of the Kedarnath Temple, the movable idol, the Panchmukhi Doli, was brought from the storehouse to the temple on Wednesday, led by Kedar Sabha officials. After the palanquin was placed in the Sabhamandap, special prayers were performed. Kedar Sabha President Pandit Rajkumar Tiwari, Kedar Sabha Minister Pandit Ankit Prasad Semwal, Dharmadhikari Omkar Shukla, Priest Bagesh Ling, Acharya Sanjay Tiwari, and Akhilesh Shukla were present. DM Prateek Jain stated that all preparations for the closing of the Kedarnath temple’s doors have been completed. Officials have been given instructions regarding the safety, transportation, medical, and other arrangements for the pilgrims.

17.39 Lakh Devotees Have Performed Darshan
During this year’s Kedarnath Yatra, 17.39 Lakh devotees earned merit by visiting Baba Kedar. From the very beginning, a large crowd of pilgrims gathered for the Kedarnath Darshan. On Wednesday, more than five thousand devotees arrived for the Kedarnath Darshan. The cold weather has begun to set in Kedarnath. Fog enveloped the temple in the afternoon, forcing pilgrims to return to their rooms in the evening.
