Along with the whole country, International Yoga Day is being celebrated in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand today. Many programs are being organized across the state today. People are doing yoga for a healthy body and mind in different areas on behalf of various wards of Dehradun Municipal Corporation, various social, religious organizations, societies. Union Environment and Forest Minister Bhupendra Yadav attended the International Yoga program in the morning at FRI. Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya participated in the yoga program organized at six in the morning at Maharana Pratap Sports College, Raipur. Rajya Sabha member Naresh Bansal, BJP Organization Minister Ajay Kumar participated in the yoga program organized by BJP at six in the morning at Parade Ground.
Teachers and students did yoga
On Yoga Day at NIEPVD, teachers and students did yoga in the presence of Union Cabinet Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Dr. Virendra Kumar. Yoga was performed at 5 am in the yoga trained Gayatri Chetna Kendra at Gayatri Teerth Shantikunj Haridwar. After this, Deep Yagna program was held. Local people performed yogasanas at 7 am in Imperial Heights. A yoga program was organized by WICCI Uttarakhand Yoga Council at 5:30 am in Cambridge Senior Secondary School, Paunda. A yoga camp was organized at 6 am by International Vaishya Mahasammelan Dehradun Mahanagar in Hindu National Inter College, Laxman Chowk. A yoga program was organized at 6 am by Sant Nirankari Mission in Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan located at Rest Camp. Yogasanas were performed in the area by Doon Shire Residency Welfare Association.
