Increasing corona infection in Dehradun, alert in health department after finding ten new patients

Both corona and dengue diseases are now raising concern in the district. On Saturday, 10 new corona and three dengue patients were found. In view of the increasing cases, the health department has become alert and continuous survey and investigation campaigns have been intensified. The corona infected include four men and six women. A total of 54 corona patients have been found in the district so far, out of which 42 are residents of Dehradun and one of Haridwar. 11 patients have gone out after treatment. At present there are 9 active patients, out of which three are admitted in the hospital and six patients are undergoing treatment in home isolation. At the same time, three new patients of dengue have also been confirmed. Of these, one patient is from Dehradun, while two others are from outside.

Continuously getting infected in Doon, survey campaign intensified to prevent dengue

A total of 102 cases of dengue have been reported in the district so far, out of which 58 patients are from Dehradun and 44 from other districts. At present 16 cases are active. To prevent dengue, the district administration and the health department are conducting continuous surveys. On Saturday, 14,344 houses were surveyed, in which larvae were found in 54 places. Apart from this, 95,813 containers were checked, out of which larvae were found in 57, which were destroyed immediately. The health department has appealed to the people not to let water accumulate in and around the houses and observe ‘dry day’ every week, so that the threat of dengue can be prevented.
