Urban Development Minister Premchand Aggarwal’s temper rose after finding flaws in the ongoing development works in Dehrakha. He strongly reprimanded the officials of the construction agency Uttarakhand Urban Area Development Agency (UUSDA). The Cabinet Minister raised questions on the actions of UUSDA and said that the agency is sabotaging the Centre’s plans. He also gave strict instructions to the officers and said that they should improve, otherwise he will give corrections. The Cabinet Minister has given an ultimatum to complete the project work by January 31.

What did the Urban Development Minister see during the inspection?
On Thursday, Urban Development Minister Premchand Aggarwal inspected the ongoing construction works in Dehrakhas and THDC Colony. During this he saw that the drain construction work was incomplete and the road was also in bad condition. The residents of the area complained to the Cabinet Minister that the construction agency was working in an unplanned manner, due to which the residents of the area were facing a lot of problems for the last one and a half years. On this, the Cabinet Minister warned UUSDA Additional Director Vinay Mishra and Project Manager Sanjay Tiwari present on the spot of action against negligence. The Cabinet Minister gave strict instructions to fill potholes, drains and complete road construction by the end of January. Area residents said that construction vehicles cause traffic jams on the roads throughout the day.
