Nainital: The Uttarakhand High Court has asked the former Chief Minister, including the state government, to file an answer after hearing the matter related to housing and facilities of former chief ministers. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ by the court, BC Khanduri and Vijay Bahuguna have been asked to file replies before 11 February. Advocate Karthikeya Hari Gupta said that the petitioner has also made former Chief Minister and presently Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari a party. But the court has not issued a notice to Koshiyari in view of his constitutional post. The case was heard on a single bench of Justice RC Khulbe. Let us tell you that the Rulak institution of Dehradun has challenged the former Chief Minister’s Facility (Residential and Other Facilities) Act 2019 in Uttarakhand by the government in the High Court. Earlier, a division bench of Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan reserved its decision while hearing a PIL challenging the government’s ordinance, in which the verdict is yet to come.
