Heritage Aviation’s Char Dham Yatra registration cancelled, will not be able to provide helicopter services for Kedarnath this year

The Civil Aviation Development Authority (UKADA) has taken major action against Heritage Aviation for operating helicopter services in Kedarnath without permission. UCADA has cancelled the registration of this company for Kedarnath Dham Yatra. Along with this, UCADA has issued a notice to the company asking why the company should not be blacklisted. Heritage Aviation’s helicopter had sought permission to fly from Dehradun to Kedarnath Dham on July 14. UCADA also gave it permission to fly at 2 pm. After this, UCADA cancelled this permission due to bad weather. Despite this, at around 5 pm in the evening, this helicopter reached Kedarnath Dham with passengers without permission despite the efforts of the staff present at the helipad to stop it. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, UCADA issued a notice to Heritage and started investigating it. Now Heritage Aviation has provided its reply to UCADA. In this, Heritage accepted its mistake. On this, UCADA has banned Heritage Aviation from flying from all its helipads for the time being. Also, the registration done for helicopter service for Kedarnath Dham Yatra this year has been cancelled. CEO UCADA Ashish Chauhan said that the reply to the notice of Heritage Aviation has been received. On that, helicopter operation from all the helipads of UCADA has been banned.

Along with this, a notice has also been given to them as to why the company should not be blacklisted. Now only six helicopter companies will be able to provide service. Now only six helicopter companies will be able to provide their services in Kedarnath Dham for the remaining period of the Yatra. This year, eight companies had registered to provide helicopter services from nine places for the Yatra. After the accident in Kedarnath in June, the operation of Aryan Aviation has already been suspended. Now the registration of Heritage Aviation has also been cancelled.
