Herbal gardens will be built in all government university campuses of the state.

Ayurveda University has initiated this to make Ayurveda information available to teachers and students. In the first phase, herbal gardens will be developed in the Ayurveda University and Doon University premises, for which land has also been identified. Apart from this, herbal gardens will also be installed in all the campuses and affiliated colleges of Ayurveda University.

For this, Ayurveda University has written a letter to the Vice Chancellors of all the universities of the state and requested to provide land in the campus. VC Prof. Sunil Joshi said that land has been marked in Ayurveda University and Doon University.

A variety of medicinal plants will be planted in each herbal garden. Information about their names, medicinal names, uses and importance will be displayed along with the plants. This will enable teachers and students to get complete information about plants. He informed that Ayurveda University will provide technical support for planting herbal gardens everywhere. This will also enhance the beauty of the university and college campuses.

Ayurveda University will buy medical plant:
Pro. Sunil Joshi said that Ayurveda University will purchase the medical plant that grows in the university and college campuses. It will be used to make medicine. He informed that a large number of medicinal plants and herbs are needed for the Ayurveda University drugstore.

Four member team conducted inspection:
On Tuesday, a four-member team of Ayurveda University inspected the Doon University campus and marked the land. VC Prof. Sunil Joshi also gave instructions to build a herbal garden in the campus a few days ago. Around 10 bighas of vacant land have been marked in the Doon University campus, in which the herbal garden will be built in the first phase.
