Hemkund Sahib Yatra 2020: The doors of Hemkund Sahib will be closed for the winter.



The doors of Hemkund Sahib will be closed for the winter season at 1.30 pm on Saturday, 10 October. During this yatra season, about 6500 pilgrims have arrived at the holy lake to pay obeisance at the gurudwara.

Around 1300 devotees will attend the last Ardas during the closing of the kapat of Hemkund Sahib. On Friday, 435 pilgrims left from Govindghat for Hemkund Sahib. Senior Manager of the Gurdwara Management Committee, Sardar Sewa Singh said that the process of closing the doors of Hemkund Sahib will begin with the first Ardas at 9:30 am on Saturday.
There will be Sukhmani recitation at ten in the morning and Shabad Kirtan at 11 o’clock. After reading the last Ardas of this year at twelve thirty in the afternoon, Guru Granth Sahib will be seated in Sachkhand under the leadership of Panch Pyaron and the kaputas of Hemkund Sahib will be closed for winter.

1793 at Badrinath and 2305 pilgrims reached Kedarnath:
Due to increasing number of devotees in Badrinath Dham, the beauty of the pilgrimage has started returning. On Friday, 1793 devotees visited Badrinath in Dham. So far 47727 devotees have reached the Dham. At the same time, media in-charge of Devasthanam Board, Dr. Harish Chandra Gaur said that a total of 2305 devotees visited Baba Kedar on Friday.

For samples of 55 horse-mule operators:
To protect against corona infection, samples of 55 horse-mule operators have been sent to the Kedarnath Yatra route for investigation. After the order given by the DM to the CMO, the sampling team took samples of horse-mule operators on Friday.
