Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat Arrested in Assam


Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat has been arrested.
Harish Rawat has been arrested from Assam. He is in charge of the Assam Congress and was protesting and agitating against the Assam government over rising unemployment, corruption and inflation in Assam.
Harish Rawat wrote in a tweet that he participated in a sit-in demonstration against the atrocities on women, inflation, unemployment, economic recession and the declining credibility of Indians abroad and corruption in Guwahati Assam.
The Assam Police arrested Harish Rawat during the protest.
Along with Harish Rawat, Jairam Ramesh of Congress, General Secretary Mukul Wasnik, Ripun Bora and dozens of leaders have been arrested by the police.
