The dependents of the martyred soldiers of Uttarakhand are being appointed in government service on compassionate grounds. In this sequence, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami approved the appointment of the dependents of two martyred soldiers. After the approval of the Chief Minister, martyr Jagendra Singh’s wife Kiran will be employed in the post of Group C in the District Magistrate’s Office, Tehri. At the same time, Abhishek Negi, brother of martyr Adarsh Negi, will be appointed in the post of Group C in the office of Superintending Engineer, Eighth Circle, Public Works Department, New Tehri. The state government has prescribed rules for employing the dependents of permanent resident soldiers of Uttarakhand who sacrificed their lives in the Indian Army and paramilitary forces on compassionate grounds.
Under this rule, the dependents of these two martyrs of Tehri Garhwal district have got an opportunity in government service. Chief Minister Dhami said that the state government will make every effort to ensure that the families of the martyrs get proper respect and support. The sacrifice of soldiers is invaluable and respecting their families is the top priority of the government.
