According to GHI report, India lags behind Pakistan and Bangladesh…

The country ranks 102nd out of 117 countries in the Global Hunger Index rankings, but surprisingly, this ranking of India has been steadily falling. Prior to this, in 2014, India was ranked 55 in the ranking of 77 countries. Now you must not understand what is this global hunger index. Actually this is the problem in which it is seen how many people are not getting enough food in a country. Along with this, it is also seen how many children in a country are malnourished. The GHI was primarily designed to measure hunger at national and regional levels and assess progress against it. The danger for India is that in this list, India lags behind smaller countries like Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. This is nothing, the surprising thing is that in this case, India is far behind than a country like Pakistan which is going through a bad phase of recession.

This year’s GHI report has raised a lot of concern about this situation in India. This report has been prepared by Wealt hunger hilf and Concern Worldwide. According to this report, India has now joined the list of 45 countries whose countries are in danger due to hunger. Accordingly, in 2015-2016, 90 per cent of Indian households used a better drinking water source, while 39 per cent households did not have sanitation facilities. Let us tell you that due to starvation problem going on in the country, the level of the country is constantly falling in the GHI reports.
