Chief Minister’s Advisory Group first meeting held in secretariat….

The first meeting of the ‘Chief Minister Advisory Group’ was held at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. To promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the state, the Uttarakhand government has set up “Chief Minister’s Advisory Group on Startup, Innovation and Entrepreneurship”. To develop a startup ecosystem in the state, by this group to develop a favorable ecosystem in the state for innovation and entrepreneurship, encourage research and development of new products, services, business models, develop appropriate policy plans and necessary support systems Consulting for Apart from this, awareness of innovation and entrepreneurship in courses, module training, workshops and capacity building programs, advising for necessary partnerships with national and international bodies and agencies. The ‘Chief Minister Advisory Group’, formed under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, consists of 07 government and 06 non-government members. Government members include Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary Industries, Secretary Finance, Secretary Information Technology, Secretary Chief Minister, Director General Industries, and Director Industries. While the non-official members are Dr. Saurabh Srivastava, Founder of Indian Angel Network, Vineet Nair, Founder of Sampark Foundation, Raman Roy, Chairman and Managing Director of Quattro Global Service, Farmer Group General Manager and Country Head HSBC, India Smt. Naina Lal Kidwai, Vice Chairman of Info Age Sanjeev Bichandani and Sun Mobility Pvt. Ltd. K. Vice-Chairman Chetan Mani.

 This new initiative in the state to promote entrepreneurship, innovation and startup 
Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that this is an effort in the direction of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji to become a vocal for the local for self-reliance. This new initiative is being taken in the state to promote entrepreneurship, innovation and startup. Which includes governmental as well as non-governmental experts from various fields. Special efforts will be made to promote industrial development and Himalayan products of the state with the advice of these experts. He said that Uttarakhand is a state with diverse biodiversity, taking advantage of biodiversity here, many works can be done in this direction. He said that there is a lot of potential for industrial development in a budding state like Uttarakhand. During the Investors Summit in the state, MoUs worth 1.25 lakh crore were signed. Of which, the work of 25 thousand crores has been grounded. Chief Minister Shri Trivendra said that industrial activities have definitely been affected by the phase of Kovid 19 which we are going through. There have been problems in this period and new possibilities have also developed. He said that the experts of this group should give suggestions on what can be done in Uttarakhand regarding medical and mental health. He said that the suggestions of all the members of the group will be taken seriously.

 Expert suggestions through video conference 
On this occasion, the challenges and opportunities arising due to Kovid-19 through video conference, new initiatives to promote innovation and entrepreneurship were discussed. Founder of Indian Angel Network, Dr. Saurabh Srivastava suggested that whatever plans are made for the development of entrepreneurship in the state should be made according to the geographical conditions of the state. Special attention should be given to job creation under startup. There should be separate branding of the products of Uttarakhand, special attention should be paid to the value addition. There is a need to focus on medical tourism in health care. Mrs. Naina Lal Kidwai said that rural tourism and home stay should be promoted. Many works can be done in Agro Processing and Forestry sector. Shri Vineet Nair said that many works can be done in the field of mental health. We must first focus on children’s mental health. The future of the startup is based on science and technology. In this direction, special attention needs to be paid to the mountainous regions. Mr. Raman Roy said that livelihood business needs attention. Culture of state business needs to be promoted. To work in different sectors, centers of excellence have to be created for each sector. Mr. Sanjeev Bichandani said that some big industries will have to be set up in the state. Many tasks can be done under the Ease of Doing Business.

 Expert opinion important for the development of entrepreneurship in the state 
Chief Secretary Shri Om Prakash said that several efforts are being made for industrial development in the state. In 20 years, the state has made considerable progress in economic activities. Single window system has been created in the state for entrepreneurs. Considerable attention is being paid to large industries in the state. During the Corona period more than four and a half lakh migrants have come back to Uttarakhand. Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana has been started to provide self-employment to them. Literacy rate in Uttarakhand is quite good. The youth of the state have the ability to do good work, with the right guidance they can do good work in various fields. Experts will be very important for this. CM Innovation Fund has been created in the state. Solar power farming has also been included in the CM Swarojgar Yojana. There can be many works in the field of medicine, there can be a lot of work in the field of AYUSH, wellness, medical plant. In the field of health care, there is a huge scope of employment with various functions. To promote tourism, work is being done on ’13 district, 13 new destinations’. Good work can also be done in the field of fisheries production in the state. He said that the possibilities of agriculture in Uttarakhand are limited. There is a lot of potential in the services sector due to urban development.
