Uttarakhand’s ranking in school education will now improve rapidly. To bring the state among the top ten states in the Performance Grading Index (PGI), the government has constituted a committee under the chairmanship of Additional Secretary Education Ranjana Rajguru. The committee will prepare a strategy to improve the performance of the state in education related indices.
Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat gave this information on the occasion of teacher felicitation ceremony at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday. He said that the performance of Uttarakhand in PGI in education is continuously improving. The state has come down from 35th position to 19th position. Now it will be brought in the top ten. Keeping this in mind, the committee has been formed. He told that there have been five innovations in education. Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme has been started for students from class 6th to 12th and higher education. Uttarakhand is the first state to take such an initiative.
Education review center established
Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that Vidya Samiksha Kendra has been established in Uttarakhand like Gujarat. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will inaugurate it soon. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will also be present on this occasion. Education Department is preparing Manav Sampada Portal. In this, all necessary work including holidays, service records, promotions of all departmental personnel will be done online.
State will soon get 250 newly appointed LT teachers
Education Minister Dr. Rawat said that the state will soon get 250 newly appointed LT teachers. They will be given appointment letters on behalf of the Chief Minister in the Directorate of Education on Wednesday. Along with this, more than 2300 posts of Class IV employees will be appointed through outsourcing.

Due to shortage of teachers in Uttarakhand, education is not being conducted in schools. There are many schools in which only one teacher is giving education to all the children. In such a situation, the government first needs to remove the shortage of teachers.
