The DGP ordered to crack down on illegal slaughter houses in the state.

Strict action will be taken against the illegally operated slaughter houses and those carrying the cow dynasty illegally. DGP Ashok Kumar has given instructions to prepare a list of legitimate and illegal slotter houses in Garhwal and Kumaon region for this. Strict action should be taken against the illegally operated slaughter houses and the people involved in it.

It is known that in 2017 the Govansha Conservation Squad was formed following the orders of the government in Garhwal and Kumaon enclaves. Who was given the responsibility of curbing the illegal slaughter of cow dynasty in the state. Since the formation of the squad, 176 accused have been arrested in the Kumaon region and 101 in the Garhwal region. On Friday, DGP Ashok Kumar reviewed the work of the Govansh Squad through video conferencing along with Inspector General of Police Crime and Law AP Anshuman, Inspector General of Police Kumaon Region Ajay Rautela, Deputy Inspector General of Police Garhwal Neeru Garg, Deputy Inspector General of Crime and Law Nilesh Anand Bharane.

During this, he directed that the teams formed in the squad should prepare a list of valid and illegal slotter houses in both the enclaves. Then take strict action against the illegally operated slotter houses and the accused involved. Said to ensure that the squad is always active and that experienced, skilled and intelligent workers are appointed in it. He instructed IG Kumaon and DIG Garhwal to take a meeting of the squad every month and review it.
