Deliberation on two proposals for Dehradun Metro Neo project, cabinet will give final approval

Two proposals are being considered for the implementation of Doon Metro Neo project. The first is that the state government should contribute 40 percent for the project and 60 percent amount should be taken as loan from financial institutions.

Public Investment Board will take decision

The second proposal is that the entire expenditure of the project should be at the government level. Which of these proposals will be better, the Public Investment Board will decide it, then the cabinet will give final approval in this regard. Uttarakhand Metro Rail Corporation MD Jitendra Tyagi gave this information in a meeting chaired by Urban Development Minister Premchand Agarwal.

Urban Development Minister Agarwal took details of the status of Dehradun Metro Neo project so far in a meeting held in the office room located in the Vidhan Sabha building on Monday.

Metro will be built at a cost of 2367.15 crores

The MD of Uttarakhand Metro Rail Corporation informed the minister that the cost of this project is 2367.15 crores. It will have two corridors, the length of which will be 22.5 km and it will have 25 stations. Minister Agarwal directed that the proposal related to this project should be submitted immediately for high level approval, so that this much awaited project can take shape on the ground. Project director of the project BK Mishra and other officials were present in the meeting.
